Should I add this?

So while I was recording, I came up with the idea of throwing a small joke singing the "A Thousand Miles" song, while having an epic car crash.

I'm not sure whether to actually include this in the final product or just scrap it, should the text stay? I'm not used to doing text which follows so it isn't anything professional. Is the colour of the text readable, is the text font size the correct size...

I'm not a big fair use knowledge person. I would imagine there would be risks that come with using a song clip. I would brighten the text. Make it whiter and it will stand out. I didn't even notice the text when I first played the clip. At this stage it blends into the sand too much. The text size should be okay in theory. However I would lighten it first then go from there.

I'm not familiar with the legalities of using a artist song clip such as that one, as I'm new to youtube myself. However I can comment on the text aspect of your question. Upon first viewing you clip, I didn't notice the text. If fact, I wasn't able to read it until the third viewing of your clip. My suggestions are to keep the text in one location of the frame (so we can anticipate the next line) and change the font color. Starting there, if you're determined to keep the text, may help improve the quality.
