Shock Mount PSM-1 - Compatible with Yeti?

Janzen

That random Norwegian guy...
Simple question. Is it compatible with the blue yeti and Røde PSA1 mount?

Yes, any stand with a 5/8 thread will work, even then you could get a thread adapter if it's a lower size thread.

EDIT: That Stand uses a 3/8, so you have to get a 3/8 - 5/8 adapter (which are usually only $2-5).

So the shock absorber fits with the stand, yes?
But the yeti does not fit the shock absorber?
A thread came with the blue yeti so I could use that with the mount. Cant I just use that with the shock absorber?

The yeti goes inside the shock absorber. Yes it has the came treaded mount. But the yeti is too wide to actually fit inside the absorber. You're better off just getting the Blue Yeti branded shock absorber, then attaching that too your mount.

I've looked at it.
Didnt realize that the yeti was that much bigger than all other microphones... I feel now that I should have bought a different one.
Thanks for the support.

I didn't read the title correctly and thought you were taking about the Yeti on its own with the PSA 1, it is under the true that the Yeti is bigger than most mics and not to mention the buttons will get in the way when using most shock mounts, you probably need to get the one from Blue.

It's a shame that the one designed for the yeti is around £45.. seems a little extreme to be fair :/
