Severe Drop in Suggested Videos 7/20-7/25

I've been reviewing my analytics and noticed that inthe Traffic Sources report that my channel experienced a HUGE drop - nearly 50% - in our Suggested Videos and Browse Features rankings between 7/20 and 7/25 that we still haven't recovered from. The rest of our Traffic Sources, such as Search and External, have actually gone up during that time, probably from our efforts to compensate for the drop.

Has anyone else experienced a drop like this before? Any advice or theories on causes or ways to improve/regain our traffic in Suggested Videos and Browse Features would be much appreciated!

Well I mean clearly we're on different levels of view count but I haven't seen a drop like that on my channel.
In fact, my traffic stayed relatively normal (no rising or dropping) during that time period.

The weird part, like I said, is that it's only the suggested video traffic - views from people clicking on our video after watching someone else's similar video - that has fallen so sharply. There weren't any big announcements in our field or anything that could explain the sudden shift in traffic, so I thought it might a changes to the algorithm or update to Youtube itself that could be the cause.

may be someone have good keyword/tags for same video like you then YouTube not longer suggest your video.

That's not the weird part...that's the part that makes perfect sense. It would be weird if you suddenly began getting less embedded views and less subscriber views. Actually, the only way you could have possibly seen this kind of drop in views is through the suggested video traffic source, since it likely drives the majority of your views.

What has happened here is likely an algorithm change that affected the placement of your videos in the suggested video section of other popular videos. It's not that people are no longer clicking your video on some other videos, but that your video no longer appears or appears further down the suggested video list. That is what is happening. Youtube constantly changes their algorithms so you can expect fluctuations from time to time. Hopefully your channel can rebound.

Sometimes it's a chain reaction. It's not that your videos were penalized, but if a good number of your views were driven by one or two videos (via suggested video) and one of those videos loses its placement as a suggested video on another popular video, it will start to get much less views. As a result, your video which appears in the suggested section of that video will get less views.

Good luck.[DOUBLEPOST=1439010081,1439010034][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think he was saying something similar to what I said. If so, he's possibly right as well.
