Hey, so I set a recently uploaded video to private, but after a few hours, the video has increased its view count by over 100 views while still privatized...did something go wrong? I'm really confused, thanks.

I only clicked back like twice, not over 100, which is what the view count increased by...

might be yt glitch then unless by accident its on unlisted and the places u shared can still watch the video

It seems to have stopped (or slowed down at least) but what baffles me is why the views keep increasing despite me putting it on private...could it just be Youtube delaying the view count or something?

Yeah, it's like what you're theorizing, YouTube is delaying the view count. And here's why they do that. Once a video reaches about 300 views, it essentially gets flagged, and YouTube wants to make sure those views are legit before it lets the algorithm promote it. It'll scan where the views came from, and if many consecutive views came from the same IP Address, they will delete the views. This process essentially slows down the views you see displayed. So, no, anonymous isn't hacking into your YouTube account and binge-watching your privated videos. xD
