Script writing for shorts..

Hey all! So I've recently decided to go and give script writing a try, I've got a vague idea of how it works, But mainly I've got more experience with directing and camera work..So I'm asking, anyone here who's got some more experience with script writing that can give me some tips, tricks and advice?

For more info, Mostly interested in writing for shorts, as those are more doable.

for a realistic type of conversation or for any dialogue, try listen into casual conversations, listen to what sort of things are being said, this usually helps me in making scripts not seem too scripted as you can totally tell it's not casual, also, if you're writing about something that you have experienced yourself, it makes things a lot easier

Aha yes, good one, dialogue that seems natural can be tricky to imagine, I'll do that!
