Script vs non-script

I've Got It
So i decided im going to do a scriped video finally and ive been wondering, what do you think is better and why? Script or no script?

I like to do a bullet list to stay on topic and hit all the points I want to talk about, but not write out full sentences. Having it fully scripted in full sentences would make me sound robotic. The bullet points give you the freedom to show your personality and 'wing it' a bit.

What kind of video is it? I have used guidelines in the past, not really a script. I think having a guideline/script is a good idea to stay on track and to keep the video concise. Being unprepared usually ends up in a bunch of re-takes and mistakes. However, you don't want to come off as reading from a script for certain videos. Any kind of reviews or similar formats that utilizes frequent cuts will work well with a script. If you are telling a story or doing a video with long takes, be careful not to appear as if you don't know what you are talking about.

In my opinion I prefer scripted. it just looks more professional and overall filters out stuttering and it's less time to record for. usually when I script a commentary I feel alot better than a normal video after making it.

I would say no script if you follow a script you usually sound dull and robotic trying to read or memorize off a script but depends on the video to.

I say no scripted! Just go with the flow, if it's something you're passionate about or enjoying talking about you should be fine! As long as you cut the video up and trim down the fat you'll be fine!

also, doing non scripted means like others have been saying less stuttering down the road. non scripting improves your speech and helps you in the long run
