Script and Comedic Content?

I've Got It
I am not a very...comedic kind of person, but I'd like to make comedic videos that are scripted intentionally and of course letting my viewers know that, any advice on how to plan it or maybe some advice?

I'm not the best at giving advice, but I can tell you my strategies. I also feel like I'm not that much of a comedic person, but I do create comedy sketches. I have the hardest time at times finding out what my next video will be about. I usually get my ideas from other videos and then tweak them into my own original sketches. It's kind of hard for me to explain but I'm sure once you get that video idea, you'll get the ball rolling on how to make your particular videos unique from others. Also, making parodies out of a new trend or a new viral vine or video could also help you with easy video ideas. I'm sure you'll find something that works and will be successful at it.

Thanks for the advice, hopefully I will get the ball rolling soon :)

I'm sure you will. Ideas can sometimes be hard to come by but after you find that idea, everything will just seem to flow afterwards

Try watching the stuffs similar to what you wanna do :) surround yourself with funny things/people and eventually you'll somehow get their humor and develop your own. That's what I did, just binged on stand up comedy on youtube.

Well firstly don't let your audience know you are going to be funny. Otherwise you are setting the bar up extremely high for yourself and your audience will be judging you harshly and expecting you to make them laugh. Which in turn makes it very difficult.

People are more likely to laugh at the unexpected. Especially if you line them up to think something else is about to happen.
For example 3 kids run at a post one after the other. The first two jump over it so the audience will begin to think something is going to happen to the 3rd kid. Either he slips before the post, jumps and hits his nuts on the post, or the post breaks.
So instead you can break that expectation by having the kid run straight into the post and knocking himself out. The kid runs at a post and suddenly falls through a hole in the floor that the audience couldnt see. Things like that. Maybe a guy in a badger costume comes out of nowhere and tackles the kid to the ground then runs away again?

Also don't "Sanction yourself". What I mean by this is don't be afraid to offend people. Comedy is a huge learning curve depending on your audience because everyones sense of humour is different and there are many forms of comedy. Slap stick, dark humour, black humour, dry humour, random/bizzare humour etc etc.
Find what makes you laugh and what you find funny and work with that to begin with because jokes will come naturally to you then. Once you have enough confidence then challenge yourself at other genres of comedy.

If what you do offends people but a large amount of others like it. Then again it's due to them having a different sense of humour.
If you are intentionally being offensive then you have to prepare for the worst because you will be walking on thin ice. It's quite an art form to get away with being rude, racist, sexist etc and just be known as being cheeky.

If you do something that you feel is funny but not many people like it. Then you know not to do jokes like that next time, or you may learn how to improve upon it.

Comedy is all about the delivery after all.

I've been planning on doing comedy on my channel. I think I'll go the most practical route, which in my opinion is a vine-like format. So you can try that then upgrade to 1 minute videos like instagram. Good luck

I don't use scripts but I jot down key things I'm going to say. Like for example say your doing a video about "My Death Experience" joy the key things down and add some comedy sketches to it like maybe make your own scene up. Something that you will find funny will be ok, comedy comes with experience the more you do videos, the more you'll get use to improvising them without a script.
