Screen Recording

That depends, are you looking for just general capture software or video game capture software?
 
Xsplit is something you want, it's quite cheap for it's features, saves into many formats, lots of control over filesize and quality. Can record locally, stream to twitch and other sites or both at same time with any resoultion! And best thing is it records it AT the resolution you want so no Half or Full size like fraps then editing it all.

If you are using a Mac, I would, and 100% of mac users would, recommend ScreenFlow. Even though a Mac has a recorder build in (Quicktime can record your screen) You can do basic editing and so much more with ScreenFlow. Its about $99 on their website and $0 on Piratebay.
