Screen Capture Problems

Okay, so I got this program by Microsoft called: Microsoft encoder 4
It's a screen capture software/ some sort of editing program. I try to record my games but no audio is recorded when I record my footage is there any way I can record my audio without using another program, like audacity, because I have a hard time matching up the audio and video.

Try to use a different programs, I used to used it, but i also had problems. I recommend using OBS.

If you want to match the audio and video (ALWAYS better to record separately with gaming footage), simply go to the menu of whatever game you're playing, and scroll down the menu counting 1, 2, 3, 4. Do it slowly so you can sync them up, and then simply edit that bit out.

I tried download OBS, but since i have a windows xp computer, i can't download it. instead, i got fraps. the only thing I'm disappointed with it is that the file size is huge when I'm done recording a video file. If the file sizes are huge compress them with handbrake its free!

I used handbrake before (like a month ago), and it only took off like 20MB of the file, but i'll try again

Try converting it into a mp4 file in handbrake

I recommend you switch to a better program, like Camtasia or Faststone. I use Faststone, so much easier and quick to use.
