Scheduled Uploads

JollyDangerous

I Love YTtalk
So one of the only reasons that I wanted to join a network was that they had scheduled uploads. All the stuff that used to make a network worth while is now being offer to everyone by YouTube.

I remember 2 years ago that everyone wanted to be in a network to get a custom banner. Now YouTube gives you that. Then it was custom thumbnails well YouTube said here you go. Then it was being able to monetize you vids. Well if you want it you got it. I'm thinking well I want to have scheduled uploads I just now discovered that my channel has that feature.

So my question is what do I need a network for?

If I have all this from YouTube and am using AdSense now and making money what's the use of giving half of my money to someone else for stuff I already have?

Seems to me that the whole instant monetization from a network is over so now what?

I have a TGN recruiter trying to get me to sign and was telling me to get out of AdSense so he could sign me. I think the only reason he wants me to sign is because he gets money from it. I also think that the 3 month trial is a load of crap. If it takes about a month to get partnered and then it says 10 day advanced notice before the trial period is up to get out of the contract. How would I know that if I put in to be released 10 or even 20 days before that I would actually be released and not given the run around until I'm locked in.

Question again What do I really need a network for if Im already claiming and disputing my own vids?
Please if anyone can give me some insight of this please let me know.

No. Unless you are getting semi-big, and approached by a semi-big -> big network, and getting a contractual managed status, there are no good reasons for joining a network at the moment.

Good splits, better adbuys, channel help, support, music libraries, editing help, graphics help, promotion, collaboration opportunities, networking opportunities, possible director jobs on their main hub, using their services in person. Obviously not every network has these things but the good ones do.

With this whole affiliate managed business going on I would have to have over a million subs to get with a network that would be of any use. Thank you all for your input. :D
