Hey, Does anyone else experience random scenes going black in windows movie maker during heavy editing? My most recent video is 50 seconds but it took me three hours to make because I was trying to sync it to music and I couldn't tell if I had synced it correctly much of the time. I am assuming its just due to high memory usage because if I let the program sit for a couple minutes I would get the scene back at least once and be able to guess where to make the cut. It was annoying how time consuming it was and also that I couldn't get it exactly the way I wanted just because of this issue.
Additionally, as I was trying to finish up with two minor edits, ALL THE CLIPS suddenly turned black and had caution signs on them with "!". I kept reverting back to an older saved version and even with new, different edits, it kept happening, so finally I just decided to go with the saved version. Can WMM only take so much abuse??
I have adobe software that I haven't started learning yet... i'm concerned that if its just my computer not being able to keep up with WMM then I will never be able to use more awesome software... I have 2 gigs of ram. I am just wondering if all of this is to be expected or not and if there is anything I can do besides getting a more powerful computer? Thanks everyone.
