Royalty free music?

Nope ..;) You don't need to contact the Publisher as it is Royalty free Stuff!:D and But if the publisher requests for giving credits then do give them credits... :)

I got my music from a top 5 royalty free youtube video. I guess I could do some research to find the artist to see if they want cred

You could comment on that Video and ask the publisher if you need to give credits..:D But Be sure you cross check before you use those so called Royalty free Stuffs.. You never know they could be copyrighted! :)

There are a large variety of different royalty free licenses so there is no general answer. Usually you should find some kind of license conditions on the websites that explicitly state if you need to give credit or not but you need to check each song individually.

Nope! Royalty free is basically non copyrighted music, which allows use in your videos for FREE. Though, you can use public music if you look at the ad-supported music section on YouTube Creator, this allows you to see if you can use music without monetising a video.

Nope! Usually there is still a copyright on royalty free music. If you take the Creative Commons BY license it allows you to use the music for free i.e. without royalties but you have to credit the artist in the way he demands.

Typically, just to be safe, we've used a majority of the music that YouTube's Creator Studio provides. A majority of them aren't that good, but there are a few good ones in there that would allow you to monetize.

Royalty free music usually requires some credit to the artist, and i think even if it doesnt some times, just do give them credit,it will help them a lot
And btw,you can find some good royalty free music on my channel,as a preview you can listen to the one in signature and for further info check my thread in Graphics, intros & music section,in services!
