I've decided to create this thread in-order to help your decision if you're going to buy a Capture Card. The Roxio game capture is very simple to set up,record and live stream.

For one the roxio has simple to understand software

It also brands itself well and looks very professional

The Roxio game capture HD records in

  • 240p
  • 360p
  • 480p
  • 720p
  • 1080p
Here is a HD video I made with the roxio
If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

I also use this to record my gaming videos. I have enjoyed my experience with it very much, although for some reason my videos to tend to get glitchy every once in a while, but when I go back to look at the raw recorded file it's fine. So I'm assuming it occurred at some point in time between rendering and uploading, not sure.

I recently bought the new roxio and it works great for me. One little problem is the m2ts file, its output file is doesn't work with sony vegas the video will show on it but no sound so i have to render it to a new format on videowave first. But its ok I still love it, its affordable and easy to use.

That's exactly what I have to do too! But I don't usually have that bad of a problem with it because I will render it in 1920x1280 60i and then once that finishes on there I put it on Sony Vegas Pro 11 and it renders the whole thing much faster.

I use premier pro, it accepts m2ts files :)

If it records at 1080p, why would you need to crop?

Also, be careful when buying Roxio cards. You may be tempted by a cheap price which is most likely the SD version of this and only records up to 480p.
