Hey! If you play Minecraft and have ever thought about what Minecraft would be like with realistic rollercoasters, you may like this video:

I will be making a 'behind the scenes' video soon showing how I created the animation, to help you with creating your own animation. If you would like to, you can leave feedback or suggestions below, or if you have created your own Minecraft animation, please leave a link in a reply and I will watch it and leave feedback!

It still blows my mind how much people can actually build with minecraft. I guess they're very creative and are good at managing their time. That's impressive!

None of this video was created in Minecraft. I did build the rollercoaster and imported the jungle and rollercoaster from Minecraft, then I animated the minecart and character using a 3D animation program called Cinema 4D. The loops etc in the video are impossible in normal Minecraft (currently).

Oh, all right then. I don't play it, so I don't know much about how it works. Whatever that is, it's impressive, that's all I know!

I didnt know you could put rails upside down :p
I imported the world from Minecraft into the 3D animation program, Cinema 4D. In there, I was able to place tracks upside down and animate everything. This is the same type of program used for 3D animation films. This wasn't recorded in Minecraft, I only made the rollercoaster and let the terrain generate in Minecraft.[DOUBLEPOST=1343837200][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks! The program I used is used by architects, CAD and making films using computer generated characters or terrains. It took a while to animate, I needed to manually move the minecart for each few frames, but it was worth it for the final video.

Ahh Cinema 4D is so expensive, i my self took a 3D animation college class but because the college was running on a really old version of Maya, they switched the program to Blender witch isn't really that bad. Its a great starter 3D program. :p

I find Blender more complicated than Cinema 4D. But the animation in Cinema 4D is really strange if you use spline interpolation.
