Risks if you don't specifiy that you wrote the script?

After watching a commentary video by a known Youtuber, I noticed for the first time ever on his channel that he specified in the description that it's indeed him who wrote the script. I found it a bit pathetic, since the script was nothing out of the ordinary by any measure, but it raised quite an obnoxious question. What kind of risks do Youtubers take if they don't specify that they are the authors of the scripts? Anything I can think of about that at least to me seems too silly...

Moved to the copyright / legal forum. :)

That's weird. The only thing I can think of is that someone has stolen his scripts in the past and so he's trying to deter people from doing it again. Not sure though.

Without context I have no idea. Are we talking about a movie script for a movie he promoted? Or is it a script for just a video? If it's the latter, I'm confused as to why it'd be a risk whether they mention it or not.

Yes, so, the video in question is just a political commentary one, very common on his channel and nothing to write home about by any measure. But the idea I got was, say you write short comedies and never specify your authorship, and after some time someone is trying to claim the screenplays. The logic behind it potentially being: "well if he doesn't say who writes them and since it's good, maybe I can become the author". While it's far fetched, it wouldn't surprise me if some doofus tried to pull something like that.
The thing is that I'm writing a lot, but I maintain a very relaxed attitude re the who did what and who owns it and when... but before it's uploaded, every once in a while, let's say preventive questions arise ...IN JOLTS :) Ya feel me people?

Thanks for your replies!

To everyone who posted until now...

There is another and very good reason to specify you are the author of your own video script. Commercial rights if the video is monetized, and which YouTube can call for documentation of/for at any time in the life of your video on YouTube.
