Revenue Sharing: Is now the good time to start youtube?

I actually watched PewDiePies video: "Is youtube dying?". And I noticed some things. In the past I had small channel about car racing video games, and it stayed small. But in the contract says that it was 70-30 split. And I believe now is 55-45? I also noticed that a lot of guys have problem with CPM. I do have like full hard disk of my videos, but I'm not sure if to put them online, or wait to things to get better. Your idea? Will this 55-45 get better in future? Any chances to get better? Do the guys who accepter 55%, will have maybe 70% if things change?

To answer your question: it depends on what you want to do with it? If you want to make a decent living through Youtube, it will be hard, as the ads won´t show as much and the revenue has gone down quite a lot.
If you want to do youtube with no intention of earning real money, then go ahead and enjoy the experience!
