Revenue seems very very low

Hi Guys, glad to be a part of this forum, I heard of it through other Youtube videos and Im glad to be signed up. This is my first post and I look forward to participating in here on a regular basis. I just began the channel almost 3 weeks ago and below are my stats.

So, I am wondering if my revenue looks about right, it seems surprisingly low to me but I understand that not all videos get ads on them. See attached screenshot please

Hi, Thank you for the quick reply, my average video length is only like 5/6 seconds I'd say and thats why the average video duration is so low. My audience retention is actually at 92%. Will the fact that my videos are short reduce my potential earnings?

The thing i´m concerned about is the watch time though! otherwise it´s great stuff!

Thank you, Im just wondering will the avergae video length of only 5-8 seconds per video have a negative effect on my potential earnings. The short length is one of the selling points, so I don't want to increase that. Viewers like it.

Yes the length of the video does damage your earnings.

In that span of time I don't even come close to your views but my videos are longer so



The length is the issue (but) if you upload more and more then sometimes they will all join together with earnings. That last spike was from a video I did a month and a half ago.

Not that i'm aware of. I could be wrong though.

What does determine ads is what your videos tags are or your title.

When people put ads up on YouTube they get a choice on what their ad is about (gaming, food, etc) and then after they choose it's put onto videos with the same ideas.

Some companies just spend a lot of money and gets their ad on everything hence why it's not all the time related to what you are watching.

YEAHHH PROBABLY

All my descriptions have a normal thing like my twitter and stuff but there is always a message in the beginning that pertains to the episode.

Makes them more special. Although I don't know what you could put for a few second video haha
