Hello all..

I'm new here.. (Please delete if this thread is unnecessary).
Anyway, which one is better? Uploading at 1080p or 720p? Pls advise.

Thanks!

I don't want to be aggressive, but I think you don't know the difference between the two resolutions.
Aside from the 'p' that means how the image gets updated and it is irrelevant in this case, the number means the y-axis resolution of the video - in other words how "tall" and by consequence how "big" the video is.
720p is a video with a 1280x720 pixels of resolution, 1080p is 1920x1080 pixels of resolution, so obviously 1080p is better! But if you have a slow connection like I do you might be best off sticking with 720p, and maybe rendering at a higher framerate if your camera and video editor allow it.

At a minimum I would record and upload in 1080p. What's even better is to record in 2k and then downscale to 1080p which will give you sharper video quality.

From a production quality perspective I also think most viewers espect 1080p or higher resolutions. This is a plus for any content you are trying to produce and share.

I upload in 1080p as it is a good format for most PC based systems.

It is however interesting to note that approx 50 - 60% of all viewers on my channel use a phone, tablet or other portable device to view them.

So the small screen size factor means that going above 720p is not going to make much difference to them.

1920 x 1080 is the most recognised /advised resolution there. 60 fps probably better than 30 if your hardware allows. Not too many peoples uploading in 720 i think ? 720 might look okay on a mobile device but on a big screen or monitor it won't scale up that well really .

does everyone record in 60 FPS? I am using an Iphone and go pro right now and am just doing 30 FPS and 1080p
I have a Sony camcorder that can record in 1080p (but 50FPS because of the PAL region apparently) but it goes along fine with the game footage I record at 60FPS
