Replacing old videos

Hi YTtalkers,

I am planning to restyle most of my current video's. I want better video's with a higher screen resolution (1080P). Does onyone have experience with replacing old videos with new ones. How does it affect a channel?

Heya

Do you mean you're going to take down and re-upload all of your videos? I've checked out a few of your videos and 720p in my opinion looks fine for the content that's already there. So I wouldn't re-render the exact same video at 1080p to re-upload, by all means do it on the newer ones.

I would make one suggestion and I'm no pro at this so it's only an opinion, I'd record some audio explaining what's going on as a couple of your videos have requested this and it will 100% attract more people. But just an opinion :)

Good luck!

Thanks! Another point of the restyled video's is that i want to use subtitles in multiple languages, so the tutorials will be slightly different (more fitting to reading subtitles first and then understand actions shown in the video).

I don't recommend re-uploading videos since the old ones can do much better than newer videos a lot of times, specially when you're still in the process of building up your channel.

Guess i wil just add the new video's then, instead of replacing them. Could there be a problem with (almost) similar titles and thumbnails?
