Removing Facecam From YouTube Videos

Hello Everyone

I was wondering how streamers stream with a facecam and the same clip ends up on YouTube without the facecam.

Is there a way to remove the facecam for YouTube videos?

Thanks

Don't plug your webcam in for one thing. I use OBS on occasion and you can set up a set of scenes which contain one or more video files rather than stream a live cam. There are lots of OBS tutorials on YouTube; and I am sure one of those shows you how to do it (i.e. point the stream output to the scene set rather than the cam).

There should be check boxes next to your camera, if you uncheck it should remove your facecam. Or simply unplug you webcam.

I guess it kind of depends, but for example when I was streaming my Xbox One with a capture card the capture card I used wasn't well supported, so I had to use the capture card manufacturer's own software and then screen capture that in OBS. That kind of setup would have allowed me to record with the own software without facecam and stream from OBS with facecam. If it's straight desktop screen capture from OBS I'm not sure how to pull that off though.

Okay thanks guys

yeah I was just wondering because I know there are a couple of guys I watch on twitch and they have the facecam on twitch. When the same clip is on YouTube no facecam.

You can use two different recording programs.
Like, OBS and Fraps at the same time while streaming. You have your facecam in your OBS stream, but you only record your voice and gameplay with Fraps. This is just an example. There might be other ways to do it as well.
