hai ya all.

so i have this laptop and i have it for 4 years now. and over time it of course gets slower, but i have recently run some virus scans and software scans and all kinds of scans to find a way to make my laptop the little beast it once where. unfortunatly the main reason its so slow is because my registry is completly full with all kinds of crap i did not even know existed (i also found some addware as i scanned the computer). now it turnes out all the scan software i have (CCleaner, AVG virus scanner, antimalwarebytes and some others i deleted because it didnt do the job) cant get rid of register errors exept CCleaner, ot at least it sais it can, but after less than a day my laptop freezes and stutters again when watching youtube videos or doing multitasking. i already deleted all programs i never use from the configuration screen. which didnt have a huge effect.

does anyone know any free software that can clean up my registry?

If you have registry errors and you do not know what keys are destroyed, then you might be ******. I've worked on a bunch of computer with registry issues, and if you aren't aware of the keys or the program that did it, it will be difficult to repair the system without a full restore.

Well, he could have a Rootkit or an invasive virus, ex. Crack for a program.

Exactly, if he can find out what program or virus caused this, he can most likely erase those registry keys. (AFTER YOU MAKE A BACKUP OF COURSE)
Can't he just do a Full scan on all his drives with Malwarebytes?

The last old laptop i did.. i just restored to factory settings.. got rid of all the programs.. and just used it for the internet...

it moved about 3000% faster after that... its just the nature of the beast when dealing with old technology
