Reddit - How to effectively use it?

I heard Reddit is an awesome promotion tool for your videos, but how does it work?
I heard it's like a dble edged sword, can attract haters and such if not used in the right way.

Reddit is just a site with many different forums on it, each called a subreddit. The big difference is that instead of the posts with the most recent reply being moved to the top, it's the items with the most, and most recent, upvotes that are listed first. Everyone gets one vote on each post. Everything is user submitted, created, and voted on.

You can subscribe to whatever subreddits interest you to have their posts show up on your homepage or visit them individually.
 
You can't not use a social networking site the wrong way. You post your content, and people either like it and will praise you, or they will dislike it and hate on you.

It's a hit or miss type deal. Just like everywhere else.

I owe a lot of my views to reddit. But I love haters. I actually have troll accounts where I post my vids where they will get LOL'd at.

I have 5 reddit accounts. 4 of them post my vids on reddit's that are on topic with my vid. My dedicated troll account posts to a particular reddit where they make fun of people like me.
Sometimes the vids get downvoted into oblivion. But that's why I have 4 accounts. Usually 1 or 2 of them hit and they get a ton of upvotes and show up on the hot page.

If you can't stand any hate or trolling then stay away from reddit. IF you are like me and love that s**t then you will very successful there.
 
yeah its just a site you post links that get put on subcategories of pages.Make sure your links have good titles so people will click on them
