Recording video with Logitech C525 - help

Hey guys,

I was testing my new webcam today, Logitech C525, which will be used for recording vlogs - when I tried to film my test video today I saw that the video is a bit lagging behind the sound.

As this is a true minimal setup (VSDC Free editor for screen capture/video capture/editing and Logitech C525 HD Webcam), I'm not expecting wonders, but maybe anyone could help me tinker with optimal resolutions, FPS, codecs etc., based on this setup?

Depending on your computer, perhaps you can record the audio and video separately and clap your hands at the beginning to synchronize the sound.

Haven't explained myself quite well: the audio is OK, runs normally, I have the problem with video - the picture is a moment behind the sound, sometimes it even freezes.

Is it maybe something to do with the resolution? I tried to record in HD 720p, but there are quite some options (height & width in pixels, frames per second etc.) and I'm guessing that I blew somewhere around here :)
