Recording pc gameplay with HDPVR

Run hdmi cable to pvr then to nothing I believe. I have yet to try although if I do I will record from my pc and viewers will see my laptop

There is a much easier way to record PC gameplay...Fraps

That's what I used, you can adjust the frame rate. I would youtube or google how to get Fraps free

i get max 60fps on most games, if i used fraps itll drop to 40fps easy. if I use my hdpvr I can record on high settings and get good quality video.

First of all i have to mention that it's not really made to do so but if your computer has a component input ( or you buy an hdmi to component cable ) then you could maybe do the following
( be aware though that you won't get the same screen quality as your hdmi setup to your screen ):
1. Put the component cable into your pc ( or put the hdmi of the "hdmi to component" in there ).
2. Attach the other end to your HD PVR.
3. Attach the component cables from the HD PVR to your screen.
