Recording Audacity While Watching Gameplay

So, one of the series I am doing requires me to record post-commentary that is accurate to what is happening on the gameplay.

Is there a way I can sync Audacity to start recording when I hit play on the footage?

Just hit record on Audacity, and count down from 3 and then press play on your footage.

That's what I do when I record my gameplays so I have a point where I can sync it in editing.

I don't think there is a auto-start function on Audacity... At least I've never used once before.

That is a shame. It would be awesome if there was. It would make everything so much easier. xD
