Record face cam vids with webcam or Camera?

I just got my new Galaxy Camera today, and I'm wondering whether it would be easier/better to record face cam for gameplays with a digital camera and tripod, or with a webcam mounted on one of my monitors?
Cheers

I'm going to start using a webcam personally. The PowerShot I used before has a 10 minute HD limit. x.x Not sure about the Galaxy Camera.

Tbh i tryed doing it with my t3 but its not the same it will get better quality for your video but its not like your vlogging and they only see you. the webcam is perfect and is what im planning on using when i start facecam
Plus, the more detail and bigger each file is that you put into an edit the longer itll take to render your gameplays

I don't have a problem with rendering or uploading as those speeds are really fast. I just don't know how much more hassle a camera could possible be. Is there any software you know of to record from my camera on my pc? :p

I personally use a Rocketfish 2.0MP Widescreen HD 720p USB WebCam "long and boring official name" and I really liked it when I did face cams[DOUBLEPOST=1386378474,1386378429][/DOUBLEPOST]

if you have windows movie maker live then that actually records your webcam and then you can just throw that file onto what ever editor you use

Well I managed to find some software that I can use to utilise my camera :) I guess i'll just have to see how it goes :p Thanks for the advice bud

You'd be shrinking the facecam anyways, so regardless of what you use, no 1 will really notice any quality issues, unless you're recording in like 144p or something lol Obviously using the better quality device will be better though. Just keep in mind if you plan on expanding the facecam to emphasise reactions that the resolution/quality will become affected if it's lower than your gameplay video.
