Recommendations of Computer recording programs

Hey! I want to make some let's plays/walkthroughs of the Nancy Drew computer games, but I have little knowledge of what programs that are out there. What program would you recommend to record the screen and system audio.

My boyfriend has tried with Hypercam 2, but it seems to record everything around you instead of just the system audio.

OBS all the way. Its free, and in my opinion, the best recording software out there that is the most user friendly and easy.

I would say mirillis action. you can record straight into 1080p and doesnt make you lose fps

I use Bandicam and camtasia however it's not free.

Camtasia works great for me.....

If you are going to record games, Dxtory, but for some games it doesn't work, so in that case Fraps.
