Great question! I've been doing YouTube since 2014 and have been using a Blue Yeti for voice overs. Now I hire other people to do the voice overs but the Blue Yeti is pretty much the best USB mic for under $100 meaning it's super simple to setup and pretty much all you have to do is plug it into your computer. Before I could afford that I just used my phone for voice overs and you could always get a little cheap phone tripod. The Blue Yeti comes with it's own stand and if you can't afford that then I recommend looking at the Blue Snowball which is a little smaller and costs $50. Hope this helps!
