Recommendation of a cheap mic for recording?

This probably doesn't belong in this section, but I didn't know where to put it, I'm sorry admin. :(

Can someone recommend me a mic within, hm, 20 dollars? I currently use my headphone's microphone by putting tons of filter, haha.

But yeah, some recommendation would be really appreciated! I'm planning to buy it within 3 days at most!

For 20 dollars, I'm not so sure. But for about double that, you can get the Blue Snowball on Amazon and I promise you it's worth the investment. Easily the best entry - to - mid - level microphone on the market.

If you don't want to spend much but don't mind having 'acceptable' audio quality just use a turtle beach or whatever headset you have to record with

Currently I don't have the budget for a Snowball at all, nor do I think I can save up for that, unfortunately. :(

Hm, I wanna get the audio quality a bit more than acceptable, haha. Currently I am using my headset's microphone. Granted it's acceptable quality, but I kind of want it better. :D

Blue Snowball, thats what I use. I personally have the $80 version, but my friend has the ice which is the $40-$50 version.

Sometimes you can get a second hand microphone that has an amazing sound! Or you want to buy a completely new one but like you said you don't really have the budget for that so I think that you should either buy something second hand or save some more money! Is it really necessary for you to buy a new microphone right now?

If you have a Microcenter near you then see if they have the Samson r10s microphone i believe its a dynamic mic it sounds pretty good i think its like $10-$20 depending on if its on sale or not. There are plenty on Amazon as well that are pretty good for example that samson r10s is $19.99 on here

The expression of "You Get What You pay For" rings very true here!

When I first started with videos back in 06/07, I had a $5 Mic from Walmart, which surprisingly was very good, however, due to the cheap cost, it was not built for durability.

Later, I used my Turtle Beaches from my Xbox 360. The audio quality was nice and crisp, however, it was still pretty low quality.

After my Turtle Beaches I picked up a Blue Snowball Mic for $60 (at the time, $40 now I think on Amazon), the audio quality was super impressive (I still use it to this day!)

Rcently, within the past 2 years I have been using Vocal Mics (SM58, SM57, etc) which to use those you'd need a Mixer, or Audio Interface.

I guess what I am saying is, obviously we all want good audio quality, but you may want to save up to get a better quality microphone.
The Blue Snowball mics are a steal for the level of quality and durability that you get from them!
