Ray William Johnson/Equals Three Win Court Case

I think it was good that he won it. After all he does credit all of the videos that he finds, and links to them in the description so I don't see the problem with it. I mean in some cases copyright is a good thing but in this case it was a stupid thing.

I agree. He followed the law on fair use, but people still kept trying to come after him. I'm glad it finally made it to court and that a judge upheld the law.

I'm personally glad that he won it. Fair use can be your best friend sometimes lol. People need to understand that not everyone is looking to take their content and make it theirs. Simple as that.

The judge didn't want Ray to be any near his mom.

I agree with the court decision.
Bad news for people who want to make money by licensing simple YouTube viral videos.

I'm so not updated, can someone tell me why he left his channel? Is it because this court stuff?
He never left his channel. Like, he still does stuff on it. He has a few series' on his channel that he started. He pretty much stars in them in some way. He hired Robbie to take over as host of =3, but something happened and now someone from his studio company, =3 Studios, is hosting =3. The court stuff was because of someone claiming that RayWilliamJohnson didn't have permission to include a company's viral videos into their show. Obviously, Ray won because of the Fair Use Act.

Oh I see. Hes a cool dude, glad to see that everything worked good for him with this court issue.
I'm glad too. He really is a cool dude, though. The reason he stopped hosting =3 was because he wanted to move on and branch out, as well as explore. He'd been doing for at least 4 or 5 years and he just said it was time to move on, though the show would still continue.
