Hi guys,

I'm the manager of a "large" YouTue channel (4 million views/month) and I am partenered with the Quizgroup network for some months. Since 2 weeks they are turning strange with me and my channel, first they have hidden the monetization tab in settings, in consequence I was not able to edit pre-rolls, mid-rolls, etc.
Then, they started to edit my description without my authorization.

And yesterday, when I went to YouTube I saw my password was changed, also my admin mail adress were removed. I know this is totally illegal, I'm investing a lot of money through my company to get premium content and they act like scammers.

What can I do now? Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Wow. Are you sure its the network and you didn't just get hacked? Have others had and issue with Quizgroup? It seems strange that they would mess with one of there partners, especially one with that many views per month.

What's your YouTube channel...? It's hard to believe that they would scam you over the internet, you must have done something in which would cause them to remove you from the team.

Also, just because specifically your a manager of the channel, that doesn't mean you have full entitle ship to the channel. It simply means you own only the content you present or the content in which you managed over. If they did do something that is deemed illegal as you say (however, I personally believe that is highly unlikely.) Then you may do some of the following things:

  • Present official evidence to the YouTube Headquarters, by sending a simple email to them, or sending it by mail.
  • Target the videos and content you presented and place a copyright on them as they were your own creation.
  • Present documentation to the YouTube Headquarters to have the channel shut down and removed due to violation of a Partnership contract.
In a way, what I see from what you're experiencing is most likely a violated contract by the people that placed you under it. Similar to the whole Machinima contracts being upheld in 2014-2015, if this is the case I would highly suggest gathering your evidence and presenting it to YouTube corp. as soon as you can.
