Questions about partnership and copyrighted material.

So I've been considering becoming a partner now that I'm about to start doing gaming on my channel. Until now I have been posting lip sync videos and a few vlogs. Will youtube let me be a partner since I have copyrighted videos? Or do I just have to not monetize them? I want to keep doing the lip syncs (we do one every Monday) but making some extra cash from let's plays would be awesome.

Yeah just don't monetize those videos, and worst case scenario those videos get removed but that's something that would have happened with/without the partnership
 
Ok cool. The videos have been allowed to stay up. I get a message like "They are allowing their song to be used but an ad may appear on your video" Should that save them from being deleted?
