Question regarding 30+ min uploads

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a quick way to upload a 30+ minute long video? Seems like it takes forever (4-6 hours) to upload it, is this normal?
 
Lower resolution, FPS, and a different rendering codec might do it. This can be a major hit in quality though, and if you have a slow internet connection it will only help a little bit.
 
If you've got an H264 MP4 it should be easy to control the bitrate on export. The lower the bitrate the more compressed the video will appear, but the smaller the file size will be and the faster the upload.

Exporting at the highest settings isn't always the best answer, as your original footage might be compressed anyway, so you'd only want to export at the settings of your highest quality clip anyway.
 
Lower the bitrate, it decreases the vid quality, but it also decreases the vid upload time

Hi there, let me give you a straight answer.
How fast video will upload to YouTube will depend on your internet connection upload speed.
So two options
1) If you will have faster upload speed - You will upload videos to Youtube faster
2) if you will have video with smaller size - You will upload videos to Youtube faster

Your question "Is it normal?" How can we answer that ? You did not provide us internet test results nor did you provide video file size. Without this information we not able to calculate approximate time it will take to upload your video. However calculation is very simple you can easily do it yourself. :) Maths 101.
 
you could also do it the lazy way like me and get a program that will make the video file smaller and keep some of the quilty.
