Question on commentary

just a quick question i record my video with an avermedia hd box but i have to record commentary separate with audacity and tips on how to sync them both up like tips on recording or what programs to use with the avermedias files since most programs i have seen sofar the video runs slow but the audio normal in the previews so having trouble matching it all up please help

I usually just go the old fashion route and manually match up the audio and video in vegas. I'll just give myself a queue in both audio and video, something simple like I'll say start and move something on screen at the same time, little things that will let me know where I need to be. As for the video lag thats most likely due to your computer ram or cpu, most programs you can lower the resolution of the preview which will help it run smoother, or try shutting down some background programs.

the avermedia box seems to do it for everyone asfar as i know probably since its stand alone but thanks for the tip sofar if i add any effect in videopad the video syncs with its audio
