Question for other youtubers, need advice

Well thats the difference I dont do minecraft to get popular, I do it because I thoroughly enjoy the game with friends I really do, but I also enjoy the windwaker hence why im doing it. Ill only play games I enjoy not ones I feel I need to play to get subs. I needan original idea for minecraft though which honestly is pretty difficult at this point.

But when you do comment on peoples videos do you like straight up ask them to check out your channel like how do you do it? Id do it but I dont want to sound spammy etc or feel like im trying to sneak a plug on their video
Oh, well that is good if you enjoy it :P I am not really a big fan of Minecraft so I don't think I will be doing it anytime soon.
For me I show which parts of the video I really liked, that way people will know what I watched their videos fully :P without asking them to check my channel.

Ya thats probably the best way to comment on peoples videos but honestly I dont know. There has got to be a better way to go about it like it cant be this difficult, and I do have connections to bigger youtubers like ihascupqauke (met her through a guy I worked with he got me in contact) we message eachother on skype back and forth on occasions and I did ask her if she could help out and said no essentially so like wtf how do they expect anyone to get bigger when they dominate the market and dont help smaller channels abd there is no other way to get bigger apparently other than spamming which I really dont want to do, at this point though I honestly dont see much other option

Well nobody said that becoming popular is easy. You either do it the correct and honest way and work hard for your success, or do it the easy way by spamming comments and have a weaker audience that does the same spamming idea like you.

Okay so here is what I have found just from looking at your channel. Your channels banner looks very amateurish, IDK if you made it yourself or not, but if you did try to upload in a resolution that isn't all smoshed together because it just doesn't look good the way it is now. Your video intro is very good simple but delightful so I'll give you props for that. If you can develop some kind of mascot or lables for your channel because then thats product recognition that you can post practically anywhere. Also since you only have 300 subs I wouldn't be expecting to get several subscribers everyday. Usually the people who have several thousand subs already are the ones getting many new subs a day, unless you are @TheIronMango because he has a special gift which can't be explained by science that lets his channel grow a crazy fast speeds.

When it comes to content creation, I try to focus on ME. In that, when I watch other youtubers I typically do so because they entertain me, I couldn't care less what the game is. Sometimes I find games I like simply because the individual presenting it decided to play it and I found, through them, that the game is actually something I might enjoy.

What I am getting at, is that I try to present myself/my caricature in a way that I hope is entertaining to people. That way even the most random of games should hopefully draw attention. I realise this probably isn't the most efficient way to grow a viewer base, but I feel its the most honest.

That is EXACTLY where I want to get at :P Heck, I don't do ''popular'' stuff that kids want like GTA, Minecraft, CoD, mostly what I do is LPs of random games that I really liked in the past like the first Assassins Creed (and new single-player games) . I want to make sure that people watch my content because of me, not because of the game, no matter what game I choose I want to make sure that it's fun not only because it's fresh and new in the gaming community.
