Question for Let's Players: Sharing Video Over Skype/Google Hangout While Recording

Here's the deal: my channel is me and a friend of mine. We recorded a bunch of stuff while we were roommates, but he's since moved out. We're trying to figure out how to keep recording over the Internet.

We have a few series where one of us plays a single player game and we both commentate on it, but none of them are finished as of now. Tonight, we tried to set it up so I could record on my end with OBS while sharing video with him over Google Hangout. Sharing the video from the capture card worked fine, and recording was fine, but trying to use the input for both led to it flickering between the two.

I tried a few other things, like using "webcam splitting" software, but nothing really worked.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Any suggestions?

@sickmind33 - Hadn't heard of Raidcall. Not sure if it'll solve the problem, but I'll look into, thanks!

@Alrod360 - Yeah, screen sharing is an option, but it's really awful quality on both Google Hangout and Skype (the framerate for screen sharing is reeeaaally bad). Of course, that wouldn't be what we're recording, so we could deal with probably, but it definitely isn't ideal.

What we need is some way to use the capture card as the video source (the capture card) in both OBS and whatever messenger we're using.

Hey, just wanted to update everyone on this; I think I found a solution, and thought I'd leave it here in case anyone else ran into the same problem. We haven't recorded yet, but this seems to work: We're using AmaRecTV to receive input from our capture card. From there, you can enable "live," and the input will show up as a virtual camera that can be accepted as input for Skype and whatever recording software your using at the same time. Again, we're only now testing it out, but everything seems to be working. Hope this helps someone!
