Question about Youtube's music

This might be the wrong place but I'm curious. You know how Youtube now has this library of free music you can use on your videos? Currently I'm stuck using Youtube's own video editor and it seems to only let me use their audio if I wanted to add music to a video. I was wondering if the music is royalty free, like it can be used anywhere, or does it HAVE to be used with Youtube. Like if I posted a video that happened to have some of Youtube's music in it.... would that get me in trouble with either of them?

That's a good question, but I can hardly imagine that you would be allowed to use the music elsewhere... However if you need royalty free music, you can use mine (on my channel).

YouTube music could be used only on YouTube with the exception of Kevin Macleod and few others which are under creative commons with attribution license. But I saw people using it in their podcasts - this is clearly a theft.

What @chottom said, if you go to the audio library you can see their kind of license, some might ask you to credit them in the description.
