Question about VidCon

BookOfKen

YTtalk Mad
Hey what up guys, alright so heres my question/situations. I was fortunate enough to be able to get a flight to vidcon and get the hotel's and such/ticket. My perhaps problem is that i'm not necessarily going with anyone specific, but I will be meeting up every now and then with a few different pranksters just to chill and such.

Have you ever been to vidcon? and do you think its necessary to go with a group of friends? Or is it rather fun in general and I could wander around doing my own thing, and still have a lot of fun in the process?

@Wreckless Eating Also just curious, you guys are going right? Will you be tweeting out a meet up perhaps, would love to see you guys.

@Wreckless Eating will be at the Fullscreen booth on Saturday afternoon so it would be easy to meet up. I think that it would be great for you to try to meet other prank channels. That is what I think would be most beneficial for you. I'm not sure what exhibitors will be there but I found a few of them to be interesting to talk to last year.

Mark maybe i'll find ya and we can talk! And yeah it would be pretty cool to talk to a few people in the pranking community that I haven't spoke to yet. So you think i'm fine in the case of just roaming around vidcon? I've never been there before so i'm 100% lost in the dark on exactly what to do and such haha. I'm just going as an "adventure" and making new friends in the community haha

I don't think that there is much for you with the Industry Track. The regular Community Track.

yeah i'm not fully sure with the industry track gives you, but I already kind of know my "art" I guess you could say in my genre, I just need more cash for better equipment and such :)... And I knew a few guys i'm going to text to maybe meet up and chill, but we will see :o Do you have the industry track?

You'll be fine on your own. Try to attend the panels that interest you and then fill the rest with walking around. You never know who you're going to run into. The first larger YouTuber we met last year was Rahat.

The real action happens at the after parties, so try to get into those. The Big Frame/Tubefilter party is free and the public is invited. The rest of them are going to be VIP only, so you'll have to be creative to get an invite. District Lines and CollabCreators is running one party and Maker always throws the largest party on the last night of Vidcon.

We're not having a meetup, but we will be performing at the Fullscreen booth on Saturday afternoon. Fouseytube and JC Caylen from O2L are going to be part of our show. Stop by and we'll introduce you to Fouseytube.

Thats so cool, thats what I can't wait to see at this event, you just never know who you will meet, I love randomness/adventure haha. I will for sure come over to see you guys.

Btw how long do the VIP parties/after parties last till? And are they inside vidcon? Or is it in the relative area?

I have never seen any pictures from the parties, can you get into those without having a ticket? What are they like?

Those after-parties usually go on all night and end up in someone's hotel room. They are not inside vidcon. The District Lines party will be at the House of Blues and the Maker Party is usually at the Hilton next door.

Most of the parties are VIP only and not meant for fans-which is why you rarely see any pictures. You might see some of the parties in various vlogs, but for the most part, we go to have fun-not to work/make videos or show off on social media. The exclusive parties are invite only and I've rarely seen anyone that crashes without getting tossed out very soon afterwards.
