EZ Game EZ Life
Hi guys! I need help on my recording/streaming set up. So I play games on stream right? How do I separate game audio from stream audio? I only want game audio to be captured so I can use it for youtube content.

any audio buffs out there? TIA

Could always try recording it separately. What are you using it for?

how do you do that? right now i stream with OBS but it creates a video with stream audio in it. I want it separate. would a recording software like fraps help? so basically I'm recording twice?

I can't say for OBS for sure, but both Elgato and Bandicam have a setting to record microphone separate. I would assume OBS does as well and if not you could probably find a plugin that allows it

Hey there, I'm no expert but I watched EposVox's OBS tutorial videos and this one in particular talked about recording multiple audio tracks (it's not letting me post URL, but just google EposVox OBS tutorial multiple audio tracks).
On OBS Studio:
Settings > Audio > enable the desktop and mic device
Settings > Output > Recording > Select 1 & 2 Audio Track
Close settings
Click the gear button beside mixer (over your audio) select track 1 for desktop and 2 for mic. When you transport the recording into video editing device you should now have two audio tracks with your recording, so you can play just the gameplay recording as you desire..

Good luck! (:

I don't know about seperating music, but what I do (or actually just started doing) is turning the mic off in obs, then using audacity (it's free) to record mic. The hardest part is lining the two up when you actually connect the mic to the game recording.

Audacity is good too because if you get good with it, even if you have a poor mic, you can make it sound really professional. Just look up tutorials.
