Putting channel name in video title?

I was looking at a channel's videos and they have their channel name in all of their video titles.

Is this to help with search, or suggested videos too?

It does not do crap don't waist your time. Makes the titles look ugly too.

It used to help about 1-2 years ago, and certainly before that in the good 'ol days of yore. Things have moved way past that technically; it's unlikely you'll get any placement advantages on such a simple hack. Basically anything that can be easily gamed is pretty much discounted these days.

The only time it may help is if you do it as: Evo Ep1, Evo Ep2, etc.... This will create a "series" linkage on the right sidebar, assuming there are no "better" videos for viewers available from other channels, as the AI determines. You can of course create that linkage by putting the vids into a series playlist.

It will work best if you target longtails, let's say 'men who grew their nose hair over 1 foot'. Then if you have a series of videos:

men who grew their nose hair over 1 foot EVO Ep#1
men who grew their nose hair over 1 foot EVO Ep#2
...
men who grew their nose hair over 1 foot EVO Ep#10

You will control the right side bar more or less. If a powerful channel, lets say pewds or jackseptic, then release a video targeting those kws, they will grab a spot of 2 on the sidebar, but you will likely still dominate it.
