PS4 Headset help

Does anyone know if the chat works on the PS4? I have someone say that they plugged their headset into the ps4 but they can only here people not respond. Any help and this is with the Px21s.

Even better if you have a ps4 we can get on now and test it. Ill be available until 7 central.
 
I'm not sure if PX21s will work with PS4 since it requires the component adapter. You would be able to plug the headset directly into the controller via 3.5mm but you will have to unplug the headset from the ampflifier and the result is that you're left with only audio output and no input. You could use the camp if you wanted to but you might find it awkward since the 3.5m and USB plug are so close togheter, you could get extenders but this will cost money. I would recommend waiting to see what new headsets are compatible. I have the PX22s which work great on PS3 but not sure about PS4 since the mic only works if you use the amp from what I'm aware of. Also Turtle Beach might be releasing a new amplifier that might be compatible with the PX2x series so you could wait for that. The new amp is meant to be compatible with next gen via optical since they all use HDMI more.

Thanks for your response I made a video showing how to make them work but one of my viewers was having trouble. Turns out it was a bad mic. Thanks for your detailed input I really appreciate it.
 
Most TB headsets will work according to TB and Sony, just not all of them from day one. Hopefully you've got yours up and running now and if not, hang in there!

The amp works just not well. Like you can turn everything up all the way and it will just adjust the volume to normal levels not to the max like on ps3. Most of the volune is adjusted in system and device settings in the ps4.

Oh, okay, I guess it's good for temporary use or until Turtle Beach release a new amp. Thanks for the info.
