Ok so I saw an ad on youtube come up for my to advertise my channel/videos there, there is also the option on facebook to do so now.

I have never paid for promotion or views I always promote manually but I was wondering has anyone actually used these techniques before? Is it worth the money?

I know that there are 'un-legit' ways to pay for views but this obviously reels in real views.

If you have tell me whether it was worth it and if you havent just say why etc...

I would like to try out Google adsense or Virool. The facebook promote your page post is really stupid and I don't see why I ever would use it.

I have thought about it.. just not sure how it would work.. Frankie Tried out Virool and did a thread on it.. and pretty much said it got views but not Subs.. so you get views but you don't seem to build your audience.

To be honest, unless you have a big budget to spend on advertising with facebook or google, i say don't bother because it doensn't really help drastically. Go with manual promotion and be smart about how you go about it and you should see significant results in time. This involves patience and hardwork on your side.

I haven't really promoted my channel in any way, so it goes without saying...
And if I was about to use paid promotion, that would be when I would have uploaded a satisfying number of videos!

Nothing beats a failure but a try so... try it... FREE! There are so many $100 and $75 adwords coupons floating around online so find one, set up and adwords account and test it out. Then come back and share your findings ^_^
