Hello everyone! I've asked this question on a couple of threads before and i'm sure a lot of active users on here might have seen me asking about it, but i'm looking into promoting myself on twitter but am unsure where to start. I'm going to be starting an account from scratch specifically for Youtube but don't know how to direct flow to that account or get anyone to look at it or anything like that. So i'm asking, for those who started from scratch as well, how did you get people to notice your videos from twitter with no following?

Don't promote, its just a waste of money for beginners. That s**t is more for business, your promotion would be over run by other top gamers or brands. Just stick to twitter 101, follow people you like to follow, hope for the best that someone else will discover you from following the person you followed. Be active socialize with other twitter that has the same interest as you by either favoring or retweeting. Freely promote yourself, you should really add links in your video description, and mention them at the end of your videos.
Waste of money? And what type of links like my social media links?

Most big YouTubers have Twitter accounts that are fun, interesting and hilarious!
Examples: The guys from MANNNtv post funny tweets all the time, thecomputernerd01 posts super cool photography and goes to cool places and has crazy adventures with his friends when he's not making a video.
Luke Korns posts funny and random tweets that are hilarious to read and so do a lot of other popular YouTubers.
Usually when I view Twitter profiles of other YouTubers I notice that they barely tweet anything, usually it's just "New video soon" or a video link.
You don't have to share everything from your life if you don't want to but if you're going to make a Twitter account, try to post more than just YouTube stuff, I'm pretty sure your audience would also love to know what you do besides YouTube =]

I think the one guy thought you ment you were going to buy the ad option on Twitter. But anyways. I suggest following Twitter accounts related to what you post on your channel. Like if you have a vlog channel follow other vlogers. Gaming follow other gamers and gaming news. Reply to people's tweets who have similar content as you on Twitter.

Have your friends follow you on twitter, then use hashtags effectively so it will be viewable on a global basis.
