Professional Logo

I Love YTtalk
Has anyone gone to a professional graphic designer to have a logo made? And if so, how much is an average cost on something like that? I have a very specific logo I want made for my channel, something very well done and cartoony. I am terrible at stuff like that. I want people to look at it and say, "cool shirt, what is that logo?" Anyway, point being I want to work with a professional in person to go back and forth until everything is perfect, but I don't want to contact someone and get all excited and find out it's way too expensive. I know people on here do it for each other and some charge, but I'm looking more as if I were to walk in somewhere and try to have it made. Every time I look online, designers will say we make logos and then have like business card prices, tshirt prices, etc. but nothing just saying this is what it is to make the logo.

Id ask @babyteeth4 who made his, its very nicely done although I dont know how much it cost. I would go for someone who freelances myself on here who has a good reputation for delivering, you are likely to be able to get an attractive logo designed for under $50 and that is a bargain IMO.

If I were you I would draw some plans for it on paper and write all colour ideas down and anything specific that you want so the designer can make it based off of it rather than going blindly into drawing you it :)

Thanks! Good idea! And I didn't think about going in with drawings on here. My banner was made by VesuviousStudios on here and I like it, but most of the time I see people say what they want and the person delivers it and I'll look at it and think that's not at all what I would have thought they wanted from their description and I would feel bad to keep asking them to change stuff if it came out wrong. I'll work on some drawings and post them on here and see what can come of it, before going to someone in town especially if it can be done cheaper on here! lol I just want to make sure it's perfect, I want it to last me a very long time. I want to love it, not just like it enough to hold me over until I can get something better. lol

I can make you a logo for only 3-5 dollars. :) If you're interested... just message me!

If you've got some sketches, colour ideas and such (Like Michael suggested) I can create a custom logo for $30. I've got a good reputation on various popular Facebook groups and through a network of design contacts, plus delivery will be no longer then 3 days in most occasions. :)

Professional logo artist/cartoonist George Coghill designed our logo. I won't say exactly what I paid out of respect for the artist's process, but per his website: "The general range of the work you see in my portfolio starts at $500 to $1000 for most mascot and logo illustration projects, with smaller projects such as icon illustration ranging from $50 to $150."

He is very professional, listens to you, and there is as much collaborative back-and-forth as you need until you are 100% satisfied. He spends many hours working to get it just the way you want it. This intensive approach will cost you some money but in my opinion it is money well spent, and the logo will earn back its cost through merchandising and brand awareness.

George gives you an estimate based on your request and requirements, there's a form on his site you can fill out. For a brand logo you want to buy full Copyright Transfer, which removes all legal headaches, and that way you fully own the artwork to do with whatever you want.

Check out fiverr.com I've paid $5 there to get my dad a logo for his restaurant. Simple but quality work from some of the users there. Check their work before hand

Thank you all for all of your help and input! I will definitely take everything into consideration and weigh my options! I can't wait to get started on this! I tried to sketch out what I want it to look like to post on here and maybe get a quote from George Coghill just to see if I can afford it, but it comes out nothing like what I imagine in my head. Lol I'll have a friend draw it up, and then see about what we can do from there. Thanks again!

Check out @Joofville's work. He hasn't been active for a while, but he's a very talented professional artist. If you search his posting history here, I seem to remember he was offering cartoony type logos for a very reasonable price. If you want to contact him, might be best doing it via his YouTube or one of his contacts he gives in his services thread.

Good luck. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1413040872,1413040757][/DOUBLEPOST]Edit; found his thread http://yttalk.com/threads/cartoon-avatars.110744/ (It's old, so don't reply to that thread, he won't see it, but maybe try contacting him via his other contacts. :) )
