Problems with Dxtory Recordings! D:

I've Got It
I recorded my 16 minute video in Minecraft with Dxtory and when I go to play all the video is, is just videos for 30 seconds or so and then the video freezes for sometimes just a few seconds to over a minute. Somebody please help!

What codec are you using in it and resolution are you using? I use its default Codec and 1360x768 and it works fine. Also what are you using to play it back?

It's probably because you aren't recording in a compressed codec. The file size is too large to playback and will never play in real time. When you import it to an editing software set your cache size to around 30GB (if possible) and pre-render in a 'preview quality'. BAM! you can watch your vid and edit it. When you're done editing just set it to a compressed codec (h.264 with an mpeg4 format, huffyuv with avi, etc.) and set it to maintain a high quality like the orginal[DOUBLEPOST=1374885450,1374885385][/DOUBLEPOST]BTW you can just record in a compressed codec in the first place but depending on your computer specs your computer might not be able to handle on-the-fly compression. If not, use my above method

I am using the Lagarith Lossless codec which everyone has recommended
huffyuv is lossless but offers a fair bit of compression. I don't think lagarith does that. It won't play back in real time because the file size is way too large[DOUBLEPOST=1374885729,1374885692][/DOUBLEPOST]Look at my first post and follow that tutorial if your computer can't handle a codec with compression

My computer should be able to handle it, here are my specs:
i7-3770k @3.4GHZ
AMD Radeon 6950 2GB GPU
8GB Corsair RAM
2TB HDD@7200RPM

When I run a benchmark test it says that I have a write speed of 19 MB/sec to my HDD but when I ran it the other day it said I had 127 MB/sec. I think that may be the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Also when I play back the video in editing the frozen parts stay and the audio keeps going and by the end the audio is way ahead and out of sync with the video so that shows that it is a problem with recording and not importing or playback.[DOUBLEPOST=1374886728][/DOUBLEPOST]The file size is 28GB for 16 minutes of film

Your PC should be capable of recording and compressing at the same time, your CPU is very good so there shouldn't be any problems.
