Problem with subscriber count

Hey everyone I have a question on youtube it says I have 33 subscribers but when I click on that so it would show em it only shows me 25 of em :/ It's not a number bug or something because a friend of mine has subscribed to me and I asked him if he did and he said yes but i can't see him there...

So maybe anyone knows why it only shows 25 of em ?
 
Not everyone is visible on your subscriber list. (It's optional to not show up in those). Also some people don't have a YouTube channel. They have an account, and are subscribed to you (they still get notified when you upload things like normally) but they so not have a channel so they don't show up.

Don't worry, it's normal. You still have 33 subscribers :)

But what if my friend has a youtube channel is uploading vidoes and has subscribed and I can't see him ?

Thanks for all the answers ^^ plus I have never seen that you can not show urself in subscribers list might giving a link where I could try that xD ?
 
It's probably normal man. I got 10 subscribers but only 3 show up on the list even though all of them have channels. :)

I believe that only refers to the area below the subbox if turned on.

I think the setting that determines if someone is able to appear on the sub list is a privacy setting ('show who I am subscribed to'). Note that when you have lots of subs the sub list will not be a full accounting. This only kicks in around 1000+ subs or so, not the issue in this situation.
 
I thought it was something to do with being linked with Google+ e.g if your account is linked with Google+ it wont show up because Google+ takes priority? I could be wrong though...
