Hi everybody.

I want to make a lets play together.
I want to use Skype and Fraps (no dxtory and other programms)
I want to capture my voice, ingame sound&video and the voice of my cousin (I know that I have to blance everything before)
I have the latest version of skype (lizenced) and I also put the trigger on stereo and win sound is also active!

I want to see the ingame material on my flatscreen and listen to the "music, sounds" on it. but i want to hear my cousin on my headset.
the problem is. when I skyped with my cousin I cant record his voice.

I could only capture his voice if i put his output on the same source as the gamevoice & video.
the first problem at this is that he is very quite and everything is very loud (i try many configurations)
and the other prob is that i WANT to hear him on the headset. its much more comfortable!

is there a method? I bought him a new headset (100$) two days earlier...

It would be nice if someone can help me

Wow thats a lot of things :)

Okay I'll try and work through them:

1) You want the game and audio on the TV, this can be done by setting your default playback to speakers/TV. This should then use this for all audio.

2) Now for your headset, go into Skype and you should be able to set the playback to come through your headset.

3) Capturing his voice, may be a bit of an issue if you want it seperate from the game and video, as fraps doesn't like splitting audio like that. You could always use a program like Evaer which records Skype only as a sound file. You can then add this in later??

All I know, sorry :)

Is there a way to capture his voice as a separate file using another method? Or is Skype your only route?

You should not record your voice and the ingame sounds with the same programm, it gets messed up and I think it's way better to capture it with another software. Just use the same hotkey and you should be allright :)

1&2. Ive done this befor. after that I heard him at my headset and the game at the tv. but when i try to capture it i only have my voice, the game(audioand video) on the record.
that was the problem. his voice is lost.

for the other comments:

I know that there are other tools to capture. but i want to figure out of there is a way just with skype and fraps.
i know that it is also better to seperate the audio files to change them individual.

but I want a easy method. where I only check firstime the ingame sound and the sound of me and my cousin and after that use this confi for the holy game and just do videos without any complicated cuts and without loosing time.

the clue is that i got everything on a record. (i was in a skype chat with a girlfriend) i record her and played a game. (the sound was great. her voice and my voice were clear. and in additional the game audio. everything was good.

but the problem was everything goes on the same box TV or Headset. and thats b******t. i want to hear the chat on my headset and the other game sound on my tv.

is that possible or did i need a nother sound card? i dont think that i need one. i think there is just a little software/skype setting i have to choose

Your HD pvr or legato or wathever you use should capture his voice just fine if you set audio for the speakers on your tv. You will need and separate USB mic for your computer to record your own voice. That's how we all do it! Good luck and game on!
