Problem with Power Director

OK so here's the deal:

I got Power Director 10 and everytime I want to render a video it says HW encode error and I can't close Power Director anymore and it won't render/take like forever.

What is HW encode error?[DOUBLEPOST=1385475593,1385475258][/DOUBLEPOST]I recently updated Windows to 8.1 could that be the problem?

I've never heard of 'Powerdirector' so I looked it up and found another complaint of someone saying about it working until they went to Windows 8.

Well yeah it's from Cyberlink (a german company I think), I literally tried everything but yeah...at the moment I'm editing the video with PD10 and render it with PD12
