Hi guys,
so I have this annoying troll / stalker on my Youtube channel... I'm on YT since 2006, with almost 2000 subs on my channel now.... I Just started being active on Youtube for half a year or so.
I'm a musician and uploading my music on my channel (I won't reveal it, just for protection because the troll/stalker might read here on this board, too, so I remain anonymous for now...)
I've been "interviewed" (featured) on a video of a a huge YT channel, and since then, that troll hangs around on my YT channel (since beginning of 2021). Such huge channels have a lot of those low-life dudes hanging around there, but it's no problem for them, because they get a gazillion of comments every day, so such trolls vanish among the huge number of comments, and only the sensible and friendly comments are liked and voted up in the top comments. But my channel is still so small that I can read the comments from the troll every day...
That troll won't give up to bug and pester me. As said, he even stalks me. Once I'm blocking him, he will just create a new YT account and continues his trolling, like "Hi, I'm back, it's me, hehehe!")
As a small channel (2k is nothing in comparison to 1 million for example), I can reply to every comment that I'm receiving.
That alt troll is also making up traps, for example:
Troll "Hey, I like your music!"
Me: "thanks"
Troll: "I really LOVE it!"
Me: "yes, thanks"
Troll: "but my music is much better than yours, hahaha!" (his channels are always empty)
Me: Eh,.. ookaaayyy?""
Then I block him.
Troll with new channel and channel name: "awesome music!"
Me: "hey thanks! I'm glad you like it!"
Troll: "I'm glad you're glad, hehehe! Hey It's me again! speak to me! come on, we're best friends right? I love your music! and remember: my music is better than yours hahaha!"
Me *blocks him*
And so on and on... It's extremely annoying, because he just won't give up. He wrote the first time in January this year, and he's still on my channel.
Also, he mimicks my video description texts and comments, like when I write on my video: "Hey guys, stay tuned for more of my music!" Then the troll writes comments all over my videos randomly, like "and remember guys, stay tuned for more music on this channel here, hehehe!" and such stuff.... it's beyond annoying! He won't leave me alone! I block him, he's back with channels of the same or different names, also 0 subs.
The perfidious thing is, that he never uses swearwords. I already set up a list of over 1000 words that are blocked (and that list works) but he never uses swear words so I can't just block him like that.
Is there a way to shadow ban him? Meaning: Not directly blocking him but, blocking all his comments from me and my fans and visitors, so nobody will ever read him, except himself?
Could it be that this is a bot (robot, computer) or something? Or is that a kid that doesn't have anything else to do???
I just don't want to delete my channel altogether to get rid of him (maybe that's his goal) I have almost 2k subs now and getting the success I want, but reading his annoying comments daily is really a big energy and time waster! Also, people who visit my videos, will see all his trash comments. But it's no use to block him, since he'll be back with a vengeance.
As said, he doesn't directly insult me or anything. BUT: he writes comments that have no subject matter. He doesn't address anything in my videos, like "oh, nice melody, and nice synth, what synthesizers do you use?" or anything of interest. He copies my words and sentences and writes that stuff like a parrot. I feel totally silly, because I work hard on my channel and I invest a lot of work in my music and videos, only to get comments from that stalker like "oohh, I forgot to comment "first! this time, hahaha!" ... *facepalm*
Blocking him, makes him just create a new account and he continues to bug me... again.. and again and again AND AGAIN !!!!!! My mistake is/was that I reply to comments that seem friendly at first, but I don't know which new YT commenter is a troll or not... and by replying he got my attention and that's what trolls want, of course. But I can't just ignore and block everyone just because it might be a troll account. Also, this guy makes fun of me in his comments once I ignore him completely. That guy makes me totally paranoid!
I've written already to Youtube but they don't reply (as usual). Any tips, suggestions, tricks, ideas? How do you treat ultra persistent stalkers?
I'm a long time Youtube user and creator... but I've never met SUCH a troll/stalker!! I change my profile picture a bit, he will comment! "oh, you changed your profile pic, I see!" etc. He even finds my comments on other peoples videos and will comment there, and I obviously can't delete his comments on other peoples videos. Please help me, guys!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot!
