Posting up Youtube video reviews

I have just started a series of videos where I review the most popular YouTube channels by watching their last 3 videos and then make a decision whether I will subscribe or not. I use clips of the videos, without the sound, and I give my audio review over the top. I believed this was covered under fair use, as commentary and critique. I have done 7 videos. 3 of them have claimed Copyright (which is fine) but one blocked my video entirely, and refused the appeal under fair use automatically. I therefore deleted the video. I do not want to lose my good standing on YouTube. I have not had a strike or anything, but the nature of this series is to use clips which may have copyright claims on them. I do not monetize my videos, so I am happy for the original channels to put ads and get any revenue from it. The videos are not particularly scathing, or detrimental to the channels involved and are generally good advertisements for the channels. Am I endangering my YouTube account by making these videos?

I have deleted my entire series. It is not worth it to get banned from YouTube. Well that is a week of effort I wont be getting back.

You made the right choice. It's very hard to resolve these YouTube legal issues and even if you were in the right (which you were) it's not worth risking your channel.
